This device acts as a media bridge but also requires you to use the WiFi extension feature which wastes precious wireless channels in a congested area (where many wifi networks are present) if you do not need to extend your WiFi range. BrosTrend really needs to add a pure media bridge only mode (eg wireless client only, wired extension).

Otherwise this is an easy to setup device and does all the other things it claims well.

I picked up this wifi extended to help address some of the connectivity issues around my house. The setup was very simple and much easier than running an ethernet cable and AP to the other end of my house. I have gigabit home internet and I was really impressed with consistently fast speeds even though multiple walls. Streaming movies and online gaming are noticably improved at the other end of my home and the gigabit ethernet port is a really nice feature especially for gaming consoles or streaming devices. It does create a separate SSID for the extender network, as opposed to a mesh network setup, which can be slightly inconvenient as devices won't seamlessly or automatically switch to the extender's network. This is one tradeoff of a device that will work with multiple router brands.

This extender plugs into a wall outlet and extends the wifi out to a remote area which can then provides a Ethernet port for a hub or non Wi-Fi device. Recommended for ease of setup and extendibility. .

I've recently migrated my home network to a hybrid mesh and have been really happy with the high speed capabilities of the newer 5Ghz band speeds with the Wifi 6 standard.I've installed this extender in my recording room as a connection to my primary home entertainment network to carry music, audio and data through my house.I've connected a small 5 port switch to the ethernet port and through that have connected a TV, a 12 TB NAS and a small HTPC which runs a home media server with data going to and from both the in home network and the internet with the small server acting as a firewall for the external connections coming in to my network from the internet.That's a lot of traffic and this little extender does it with aplomb and it is seriously fast.The media server this is connected to also has 2.5Gb data throughput ethernet and despite this being rated lower it does not seem to have any issues keeping up.My usage is not typical so for the average user this extender is going to be a fantastic addition to your home network and will fill the dead spot with ease and bring seriously fast connections throughout.A very highly recommended wifi component and a great buy.

Very good product now I can get my wi-fi all around the house and outside as well that improved all my wi-fi printer. Tv. Laptop ect. I recommend this product.
