good wifi performance, very poor mechanical design

The adapter works very well as far as wifi is concerned,
Updating drivers (if you need it...?) is very easy
works straight out of the box
but...
lightweight plastic stand is a joke.
Even with the weight of adapter is not able to do it's job.
Stiff heavy usb cable connecting it to PC causes the stand to be totally unstable.
It needs heavier stand, (or very soft cable), or preferably both,
please.

Major signal boost that works without any setup

My Tuxedo Linux laptop (running Kubuntu KDE Plasma) already has an internal WiFi adapter, but I was on holiday for a week at a place where the WiFi coverage was utterly abominable, and I couldn't get a connection for more than a minute or two without getting dropped. As such, I needed a WiFi adapter that would significantly amplify the weak signal. Fortunately, the AC3L did the trick with a greater than 10dBm signal strength improvement. Since my laptop has a version 6.5.0 Linux kernel, it did not require any setup whatsoever, nor removal of my internal adapter. I merely plugged it in, and all my available WiFi connections immediately appeared twice (one for the internal adapter, and one for the AC3L). Anyway, I couldn't be happier.

Fantastic service and product

I bought the ACL3 a few months ago and finally got to use it recently. I stopped working after about a month. Two months passed before emailed their support about it. To my surprise, they responded almost immediately and offered to replace it. They shipped it immediately. I now have a fully functional device. The product works beautifully, but what is impressive is the customer service. Just about everyone has had enough bad customer service experiences that good ones are memorable, and outstanding ones are rare. Becky and Christina are exceptional.

The problem solver

Bought and used this with great results a number of years ago , but haven't needed it for a few years .
The wifi card in my HP laptop has just crashed and replacements I ordered were not the right ones . I dragged this unit out of storage , never expecting it to produce the results it has . I have gone from a barely functioning wifi to one that can download 5 linux operating systems in 45 minutes , that is a real surprise . Also I can run at least three utube streams at the same time . The Linux install is intimidating at first ----but it was well worth it . Great product from my experiences---thanks guys
