I got round to installing this 2nd 2.5gigabit card recently and it was easy enough to do if you have a full or midi ATX motherboard.Simply drop the network card into an empty 1x PCI-E slot (You can put it into a 4x PCI-E or 16x PCI-E (GPU) if you're not using those), turn on the computer and Windows automatically found the driver and it works.My local router is still only 1g, so i'm unable to comment on the 2.5g. Until all my PC's & routers are upgraded, then I won't see any difference.For most people, these cards are unnecessary. You'll only need these if you internet provider is WELL OVER the 1gigabit speed (1000M) or/and you'll be frequently transfering very large files from one PC to another (each PC will need these cards AND a router of same speed).I've got these as i'll be getting a pair of 2.5g routers in the near future, hopefully to speed transfers up and the price is pretty good.

Does the job well
I recieved this item to replace my PC WiFi dongle as I was having issues with lag in games. The card was really easy to install into the PCIe slot, secured with a screw.I assume Windows installed the needed drivers because with was working once the PC was rebooted.After installing my Internet spped has increased and my lag problems have completely disappeared.Overall very happy and I would definately recommend

Compatible with lots of OS's and install options
I needed a low profile PCI-E card for my CCTV server, this fits the job well. It comes with a low profile bracket, doesn't take up much room in my server. Works fine in Windows 11, advisable to update the driver from Realtek website though rather than use the CD that came supplied which could have a driver on from years ago. Overall performance and stability is decent, no complaints.
